Transformative Power of Yoga
CONGRATULATIONS! It’s a BABY GIRL! These words are fresh in my memory even today after 15 years, 182 months, 792 weeks, 5542 days, 1,33,004 hours, 7,980,240 minutes, 4,78,814,405 seconds, as I share it with all of you!
My husband and I were very sure that I would be a stay at home mom, the minute we choose to bring a bundle of joy into this world.
I was working as a Manager in a renowned company with a very handsome pay. Everyone who knew me expressed their views of me being a workaholic can never stay home.
We are proud that everyone had to take back their views and come up with complete adoration towards us.
YOGA, to me was SELF- DISCIPLINE from the day I knew YOGA. My definition of Yoga is to do everything with self-discipline and passion.
This strong understanding helped me to be in yogic state even for the daily chores like eat, sleep and watch my favourite content.
This understanding came to me when I was in grade 6, studying for my class test. My neighbour’s house was hosting a wedding and there were a lot of loud mantras, songs being played throughout the day and into the night. I complained and grumbled with my mom about how disturbing it was to study. My mom sat me down and asked me, what is the use of focus and concentration when external and internal factors shake OUR confidence.
Since that day, I built a muscle to be able to eat, sleep, learn, and work in any kind of environment.
This is my foundation to YOGA.
I was a very energetic child, eating everything seasonal and as a teenager ate a lot of junk food too.
Even after wedding I was a junk food lover.
As, shared with all, we were sure to provide a progressive, contributive environment for our bundle of joy.
The first step towards it was to get a COMPLETE BODY CHECK UP to provide a safe place for the joy.
The second was to maintain a safe HOME space.
The third was to stay healthy. Health to us meant physical, physiological, mental, psychological, emotional, social, and financial.
We were blessed and lucky to achieve everything.
Self – discipline, the transformative power of YOGA is the ONLY key to our safe, easy, memorable NORMAL DELIVERY.
I was told by a lot of people about post-partum, mood swings, memory loss, difficulty in breast feeding etc.
I am glad that Yoga supported me in reversing everything mentioned above.
The memorable day, 26th August, 2009, Wednesday, 6.10 pm, we were declared to-be-parents.
Since that moment till NOW, I have disciplined myself with YOGA in the body and MIND.
I stopped watching Television, reading Newspaper, mobile, going to places that are zero contributive to my joy’s HEALTH*. This discipline gifted me with like-minded family and friends as Yoga makes LAW OF ATTRACTION possible.
This YOGA supported me in having the BEST HEALTH as everything happened very naturally and ON TIME.
Today, I have ample time on hand to eat when I feel hungry, sleep when I feel sleepy, read, write, dance, sing, work and literally do anything only when I choose.
Dear readers, I am not exaggerating, I have achieved this over these 15 years.
One more feather in the cap, I scored the highest MARKS in MEd in one of the subject “YOGA”
A secret, I completed my MEd in the year 2022, after out TWO BUNDLE OF JOY were born.
I am filled with happiness to share that both my daughters supported me to complete my Masters in Education.
I have many more transformation stories to share, and I choose to share a FINALONE and conclude this transformative story.
Yoga, built my sustenance, today I am a proud mother of two young HOME SCHOOLERS. Yes, my daughters, aged 15 and 12 learn at home, they don’t go to school.
Today, 20 families have chosen to HOME SCHOOL their children with my support and are extremely HAPPY.
Every morning, all of us are in the continuous practise of YOGA, THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER!
