Exam Fever by P V Vaidialingam
In the midst of exams,
stress so high,
Students struggling,
you can hear their sigh.
Sleepless nights,
faces tired and bored,
Mind overwhelmed,
feeling ignored.
With trembling hands
and hearts flutter,
The weight of exams,
like a heavy shutter.
Parents’ hopes,
expectations soar,
But their pressure’s weight,
one can’t ignore.
The syllabus, a maze,
hard to comprehend,
Vast portion to cover,
without end.
Memorize and regurgitate,
the usual drill,
But understanding the concepts,
that’s the real skill.
Depression, anxiety,
mental strain,
A heavy toll on the young brain.
Loss of appetite,
health declines,
As stress and worries intertwine.
But there’s hope and a way
to ease this plight,
To bring relief and
make the burden light.
Yoga and pranayama,
time tested find,
To rejuvenate
both the body and mind,
A sense of humour,
laughter’s touch,
Can lessen anxiety,
oh, so much.
Music’s melody,
a soothing balm,
To calm the nerves
to bring inner calm.
Forget the exam marks
for a little while,
Take a practical view
with a smile.
Understanding and not
just memorization,
Leads to success,
a new revelation.
Let’s implement these changes
for one and all,
For the benefit of children,
big and small.
In homes and schools,
let’s pave the way,
For a brighter future,
come what may.
For children are the future,
it’s true,
And protecting them is what we must do.
So, let’s ease their burden
and lift their load,
And watch them flourish,
on life’s road.
