Have you travelled in Vande Bharat train?
I got the chance to travel to Khajuraho on the way to PannaTigerReserve, 8 hours journey in Executive chair car.
The hype is too much. Seats are less comfortable than Shatabdi express. It was real torture to sit for so long with literally no head support, thigh support, back support. The food was really 😔. Toilets were also far from satisfactory. Spent almost half the time standing near the gate. Spent Rs 3000 as I could not get a pass due to a glitch. Only the shape of the train and multiple electrical units was different. One interesting feature was there that you could rotate the seats. I don’t know what your experience? Fellow passengers were also feeling the same but couldn’t raise their voice due to social media compulsion. It seems the introduction was hurried. A lot of care has to be taken to introduce a brand-new product. 8 coach train in 150%-line capacity route with most of the other traffic looking like poor country cousins waiting to give precedence. It is a very great technology and initiative but a great scope for improvement. Promptly took back flight for Rs 3000 after my visit. Out of all 3 modes, road travel is the best in my opinion.
